Hurricanes Single-Game Tickets on Sale Sept. 11

RBC Center’s Time Warner Cable Box Office will be open as the annual Friesen 5K is held

RALEIGH, NC – Bill Nowicki, Director of Ticket Operations for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that single-game tickets for all Hurricanes home games in October, November and December will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11. The on-sale is being held in conjunction with the sixth annual Friesen 5K Fun Run, which will take place at 9 a.m. that morning at the RBC Center.

Tickets will be available on Sept. 11 for games including the Hurricanes’ opening night match-up with Eastern Conference finalist Tampa Bay, both of the team’s home games against Pittsburgh, and tilts against each of the last two Stanley Cup Champions: Boston on Oct. 12 and Chicago on Oct. 28. In addition to the RBC Center’s Time Warner Cable Box Office, tickets will also be available at CarolinaHurricanes.com and all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets for all preseason games will go on sale on Sept. 6, and tickets for home games in January, February, March and April will go on sale on Dec. 1.

The Friesen 5K Fun Run, first held in 2006, attracts close to 2,000 runners each year, and has raised more than $200,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Eastern North Carolina. Fans, team staff and Hurricanes players participate in the event annually, with prizes awarded to the top three male and female runners, as well as the highest fundraising teams.
