World's Toughest Rodeo Stampedes into PNC Arena for One Huge Night!

(RALEIGH, NC) – World’s Toughest Rodeo™ stampedes into PNC Arena in Raleigh on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. for one huge night. Thirty professional cowboys will strap on a double dose of guts as they battle it out against the rankest bulls and broncs in North Carolina. Prior to the event, fans are invited to come early to meet some of the cowboys and enjoy a free pony ride.

Top cowboys will test their grit in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding, while the ladies bring the speed and beauty as they compete in the barrel racing event. The top two contestants in each event will return for a second time and go head-to-head to determine the night’s champion.

This year, fans in Raleigh will be treated to an exciting all women’s trick riding performance by the All American Cowgirl Chicks®. Founded on the basis of patriotism, entertainment, charisma, and humility, the group entertains fans nationwide with a high-speed, choreographed, and patriotic themed performance. In addition, the Cowgirl Chicks ride for a cure for cancer. Sadie Lynn, a member of the All American Cowgirl Chicks, was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer in October 2010 at the age of 18. Through various events and initiatives, the Cowgirl Chicks are able to raise cancer awareness and donate to breast cancer charities across the country.

Making a return to the World’s Toughest Rodeo in Raleigh is the American-style bullfighting. Rodeo clowns, or “cowboy lifesavers,” pit their agility and skill against specially bred rodeo “fighting” bulls. The competition is scored as they face the fast and cantankerous bulls without getting gored (or “hooked” as they call it in rodeo vernacular) – it is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
