The Carolina Hurricanes, in conjunction with the NHL, will host an outdoor game at NC State's Carter-Finley Stadium against the Washington Capitals on February 18, 2023. The event will mark the first time the Hurricanes have participated in an outdoor game. The Canes were originally scheduled to host the NHL Stadium Series on February 20, 2021, but the event was postponed due to health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
