Parking FAQ

Parking & Traffic Tips

Parking Lots Open Early

PNC Arena parking lots open 3 hours prior to hockey games, and 2.5 hours prior to NC State Basketball and most other events.

Arrive Early

To avoid traffic congestion and delays, we recommend arriving 1 hour prior to the event start time.

Parking Passes

For your convenience, it is encouraged to purchase your parking voucher at the time of your ticket purchase at Ticketmaster.com. This applies to all events, excluding NC State men's basketball.

Please display any parking credentials (VIP, PREMIER, etc.) for easy recognition.

Premier Parking Passes are available for purchase at PNC Arena's Box Office for most concerts and events (excluding Carolina Hurricanes hockey games, NC State men's basketball, and family shows with multiple performances).

For information on pricing and availability visit individual event pages or call the Box Office at 919-861-2323.

EV Charging Stations

PNC Arena offers six ChargePoint EV charging stations in partnership with Wolfspeed. Chargers are operational from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. each day.

Can’t Arrive Early?

Paved parking lots surrounding the PNC Arena fill quickly. If arriving less than 30 minutes prior to event start time, please plan to park in unpaved lots.

Plan Ahead For Heavy Traffic

Plan ahead for heavy traffic traveling on I-40, I-440, and Wade Avenue during weekdays.

Avoid Towing

There is no curbside parking around PNC Arena. All unattended vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Passenger Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Passenger drop-off and pick-up is permitted at the VIP Parking Lot.
